My name is Angie Cryder and I would like to thank you for stopping by my little corner of the web. I am a creative, on-location photographer from Brevard county Florida and am now living near Brevard, North Carolina. I have over 20 years of experience and I would love the opportunity to provide you with photographs that you will cherish for the rest of your life!! But first, I suppose you would like to know a bit more about me so here goes…
I fell in love with photography back in the pre-digital, pre-photo editing software days. I was a dual-enrollment student and took a few college photography courses while I was still in high school. I learned to shoot on a completely manual Pentax K-1000 SLR camera, developed my own film, and spent many hours in the darkroom printing my own photographs. I am so thankful that my photography journey began back then because it forced me to actually learn how to use a camera to take good photographs – I couldn’t use a computer to cheat my way through assignments using photoshop. And because of that I almost always shoot on manual and hardly ever use auto-focus 
I later worked my way through college at one of those retail portrait places. You know the type I am talking about. Really cheesy, overly posed photos on corny backgrounds…It wasn’t all bad though. I was creatively stifled, but I was still able to learn some basic photography skills.I ended up pursuing a degree in biology, but my heart will always belong to photography.
I could go on, but that’s not really why you’re here. To sum things up, I believe photography should be about capturing a single moment in time to cherish forever, not about how perfectly fake you can make someone look using photoshop. It should be about capturing a moment of happiness, a moment of surprise, or just a quiet moment, not about cheesy smiles and forced poses. It should be relaxed and fun, not stressful and dreaded. It should be about a special-to-you moment, and I would consider it my great pleasure to capture your moment for you…

- I have been married to my best friend Troy (who is also an amazing photographer) for 14 years – I couldn’t imagine my life without him.
- I am the mother of two beautiful children. My daughter who will live forever in my heart and my son who amazes me every day.
- I have a crazy 6 year old chocolate lab that I love very much.
- I have a bachelors degree in biology and have worked as an environmental scientist/industrial hygienist for the past 8 years – but I’m a full-time photographer now and loving every minute!!
- My favorite movies are The Big Lebowski and The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.
- I like to run, but I’m not very fast. And I haven’t ran in a few years…
- I haven’t drank soda since 2005.
- I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up because I hope I never have to grow up
- I love snow, hence the photo of me in the snow!
I wish it snowed in Florida but since it rarely happens I will just have to dream of the day when I can live where it snows every winter .As of March 2012, I live in Penrose, NC and am looking forward to seeing snow – not to mention 4 actual seasons!!
